The Cherry Orchard
In July 2023, we presented our inaugural production of The Cherry Orchard at two site-specific venues: Lethe Lounge, a townhouse on West 113th Street in Manhattan, and the Shea Barn (built in 1851) at Tydeman Farm in Germantown, NY. The action of the play traveled to different locations in each venue, offering audiences an immersive experience that — true to Chekhov’s timeless masterpiece — was about PLACE. The play was brought to vivid life by an outstanding cast, and audiences enjoyed food and drink specially prepared for the production, as well as originally composed live music. We are deeply grateful to the many people who tirelessly supported our maiden voyage, including the wonderful owners of Lethe Lounge and Tydeman Farm.
